The weekend is finally here

It’s Saturday! The weekend is finally here. I usually don’t live for the weekend, but this week has been a lot! I’ve been working a lot so I’m looking forward to just sit down and relax. I’m spending this Sunday planning my August. I’ve got a lot of things happening in August, and I’m looking forward to sharing it all on the blog! How does your weekend look like?

Take a dip into my day

I just love having a day off, especially mid-week. It makes the week feel much shorter than it is. I’m not the kind of person that lives for the weekend though, but I understand why Monday and Tuesday isn’t peoples favourite day of the week.

Taking a day off.. The feeling of freedom when the alarm doesn’t decide when you have to get up in the morning.. The after 11AM coffee cup in bed.. What’s your favourite thing to do on your days off?

A book a day keeps reality away

I’ve always been a “reader”. I remember getting my first library card at the age of 7. I could spend hours there everyday reading. As I’ve grown older, I haven’t been the best reader, but I do read. I love books that get me inspired. I would love to get some tips on any books and I love all genres.

The current book I’m reading is “A tree grows in Brooklyn” by Betty Smith. Have anyone else read this book? So far, I’m really enjoying it.

A short get-away

This week isn’t off to a bad start. I’m starting the week with a three day get-way to Quality Hotel in Sarpsborg with my sister and her two kids. I rarely go on domestic vacations. I have actually never been on a domestic vacation, which is pretty weird considering that Norway is a beautiful country. But as soon as I’m able to travel I often book a ticket for a warmer place.

I’m pretty excited about this get-away as I’ve been working a lot ever since I got back from the South of France. While being here I’m thinking of visiting other places in Norway the next time I’m able to go on a short vacation. I would be happy to get some recommendations.

Good morning! Yesterday I took one of my closest friend to a restaurant in Oslo called “Kolonihagen“. Kolonihagen is a restaurant that serves all organic food. She had never been there before so I decided that it was the perfect place to go on a summers day. This is definitely one of Oslo’s cosiest restaurants. Has anyone else been here before?

Kolonihagen is located at Frognerveien 33!

My playlist of the week

playlistlogo playlistoftheweek

I don’t have a specific kind of taste when it comes to music. I usually listen to all genres. I do have a habit of listening to a song until I get tired of it. Does anyone else do that?

These are the songs that’s been playing non-stop on my Spotify this week!

Rihanna – Higher
Steve James – In My Head (ft. rkbc)
Shawn Mendes – Ruin
Francis and the Heights – Friends (ft. Bon Iver)
Kristian Kristensen – Du som snakke
Susanne Sundfør – Fade Away
dvsn – Hallucinations

Which songs have been playing non-stop on your Spotify? And do you recommend any songs?

My go-to beauty products

I love buying beauty products – everything from facial products to perfumes. The best thing is to discover new beauty products and seeing that they actually work. I usually buy most of my beauty products when I’m travelling, because I think that the product variations outside Norway is a lot better.

1. Chanel Hydro Beauty Micro Serum 2. Emma S. Cleansing Facial Wash 3. No.3 Multi Use Oil Rose Petals, Peony & Bergamot 4. Chanel Coco Mademoiselle

Chanel Hydra Beauty Micro Serum: This is a water-light serum which makes your skin feel fresh and hydrated. I recently got this for my birthday and I haven’t  stopped using it ever since.

No 3 Multi Use Oil with Rose Petals, Peony & Bergamot: This is probably the best $28 I’ve ever spent. I got this at Urban Outfitters at Colins Avenue in Miami Beach this summer. The Multi Use oil can be used as a perfume, you can also apply it on your skin, hair and nails for moisture and shine. I think Urban Outfitters is the only place who sells this brand, which is sad because we don`t have Urban Outfitters in Norway.

Chanel Coco Mademoiselle: I`ve had this perfume for a year, and I never get tired of it or want to switch to another perfume. I feel like this is my go-to perfume.  The smell is very feminine with a hint of orange, mandarin, orange blossom and bergamot.

Emma S. Cleansing Facial Wash: This is also one of my favourite facial products by Emma S. Wiklund. This facial wash is for all skin types and is free from parabens and mineral oils. I actually got this in a giveaway bag from an event that I went to in June, but I think you can buy this online too.

What are your favourite beauty products?

Sun’s out in Oslo

The weather in Oslo these days have been unpredictable – but today the sun decided to come out and stay for a while.

I woke up early as I always do, went to work and then met up with a friend later on. I’ve also tried to convince my boyfriend to go to the movies with me and see Me Before You, so we’re going this Thursday! I’ve read the book so I’m super excited.
