Monochrome Squares

So, today is the last day of September and then we’re in October. How fast did that actually go? It’s Friday today and I didn’t have any lectures, so I started the day at The Juicery with one of my closest friends. You can really feel that it’s Friday today when you walk around the city. The sun is up, and everyone is smiling.

I really like the feeling of autumn; the crisp weather, the coats, the scarves, the colours on the trees and the autumn leaves on the ground! Ahh! I’m starting to appreciate it more than summer!

I’m excited about this weekend. I’m going to my hairdresser this afternoon, and then I’m off to a dinner downtown and on Saturday I’m having a family dinner, because it’s my brothers birthday. On Sunday, which is my favourite day of the week actually, I’m going out of town.

The following week will be a lot more stressful for me, as I have a lot of work to do at school, and there’s a couple of press events next week that I’m also attending. But I’m looking forward to it!

Tuesday Thoughts

I don’t understand the weather in Oslo right now. It’s in-between autumn and winter which is confusing, and even harder to dress for as it’s too cold with just a shirt, and too warm with a sweater.

Today I chose to go for a shirt! I love autumn. I get to wear my favourite clothes again. Don’t get me wrong, I love summer, but I really don’t have any summer outfits that I love and therefore I hate dressing for summer.

Hugo Boss Grand Store Opening

Yesterday I was at an event hosted by Hugo Boss and Presskontakterna Oslo, celebrating their grand store opening at Karl Johans gate. There was finger food, drinks and champagne. The new store is gorgeous with women and mens clothing. The store has three floors, with the womens clothing, shoes and accessories located in lower level. You will also find mens tailoring and sportswear in the store.

The highlight of the evening was being sketched – which was really cool!

It’s Monday again…

Don’t you just hate how the weekend always seem to pass by so quickly? Unfortunately I haven’t done anything interesting this weekend. I’ve been reading a lot for my classes as the amount of chapters to read are ridiculous! But I love how the autumn in sneaking up on us, which gives me the opportunity to wear some of my favourite outfits again! I think it’s much more fun to combine an outfit when you can layer it with a bit more clothes, which you can’t do at summertime.

I actually managed to book tickets to Paris in December, which means Christmas shopping in Paris! I’m so excited about that. The last time I was in Paris I felt like I didn’t have enough time to wander the streets and get the sense of the real Paris. I also think we managed to book a decent hotel too. I can’t wait to make a list over all the places we should eat, and places to see. I really want to visit the Versailles this time, if it isn’t too much of a hassle.

And next month I’m going back to Berlin for the second time this year. I’m travelling with two of my friends and we’re staying at the Pullman Schweizerhof, which I stayed at the last time I was there. The location is perfect and the hotel is amazing. Berlin has really grown on me, and is probably one of my favourite places to travel in Europe. I love the laid-back culture and the restaurants and cafés. I’m going to try some new cafés and restaurant this time, and I would be very grateful if you had any tips to share with me!

How was your weekend?

Busy days

These days have been so hectic for me at school. We have a lot to do and not a lot of time. I’ve always been used to finishing an assignment long before it’s due, but now I really don’t have the time to be effective. The workload is a lot more intense than I imagined, and on top of that I have to work too. I feel like a zombie these days: school – work – read – eat -repeat!

For hectic days like these I think it’s important to eat as healthy as possible as I feel that my brain and my body functions better on a healty diet. Hopefully I will be able to stay on this healthy diet as long as possible – even after I’m done with all my assignments for school. One of the main issues with eating healty is that a lot of the meals need some prep time, and when you have 30-45 min when you wake up you don’t want to be bothered with dishing up a fancy breakfast. So I’ve started to make some of my meals the day before. This week I made a Matcha Chia Pudding.

I will put up the recipe for this next week! If you have any other tips for healthy meals I can make the day before let me know!

Acai & Chia Oatmeal Porridge

MY ACAI & CHIA OATMEAL PORRIDGE

So I received a huge package from Gymgrossisten containing Acai powder, Chia seeds, coconut flakes and etc, and I decided to make an Acai & Chia oatmeal porridge, and it turned out perfect, so I wanted to share the reicipe with you guys! By the way, it’s 100% organic!

1. For the porridge I used organic oatmeal, almond milk and three tablespoons of Chia seeds.

2. Let it cook for 5-7 minutes. Remember to stir.

3. When the porridge is almost done, add a tablespoon of Acai powder.
Stir it nicely in with the porridge.

4. For a topping I used frozen berries, cacao nibs and coconut flakes.

Enjoy!
