Archives for November 2016

The last day of November

It’s the last day of November and I’m in the middle of hectic exam weeks catching up on a lot of reading. I can’t wait for these weeks to be over. Exam periods are the only time I ever feel as the days doesn’t have enough hours. Other than my hectic school life, I’m going to work on some content for Femelle, which will be released in December at some point at femelle.no, so be sure to follow Femelle on Facebook to get the latest updates.

I’m also hosting a giveaway on Instagram where you can win products from Jane Iredale. The giveaway is closing December 2nd, so go to my Instagram to enter before it’s too late.

These Red Lips

If there’s something I never can get enough of, it’s red lipstick. Red lipstick is essential in your make up bag, and it’s just like the the little black dress; you just can’t get enough of them in your closet, or in your make up bag in this case. A little bit of red lipstick can really make your face and even your outfit pop! I’ve picked out three of my favourite red lipsticks from different brands!

Siren in Scarlet is a classic red lipstick from Maybelline. This red lipstick is matte and reminds me of MAC’s Ruby Woo, but less dry. This is the kind of red lipstick that I would choose for a night out with the girls, or for a night out with my boyfriend. The colour makes your face pop!

This lipstick is from MAC, and is also matte. This red lipstick has a hint of orange in it and is one of my favourites. This is the kind of red lipstick that I would choose for work or for coffee with friends as it is a little bit toned down. This lipstick goes great with a white shirt and jeans.

This Classic Red is an Elizabeth Mott liquid lipstick. The lipstick feels light on the lips and it doesn’t get sticky and lumpy as some of the other liquid lipsticks I’ve tried. This is also a lipstick that I would choose for a night out. This red colour isn’t as strong as MAC’s Ruby Woo or Russian Red, but it really does the trick.

Sunday Mornings

Sunday mornings, are my favourite mornings. Everyone claims to hate Sunday’s because Monday is the following day, but Sunday’s are really the only day of the week I feel like I can relax. For me Sunday’s are all about catching up with the new Netflix series, staying in bed, reading a good book or coffee dates with friends. I don’t get to do this on regular days because of school and work commitments.

This Sunday I actually woke up pretty early. I managed to get a lot of work done, so that the following week won’t be as hectic for me as this previous one has been. November and December are full of finals and hand in’s at school, and I work a lot so I hope that I still will be able to blog frequently.

I’m starting a new project with a Norwegian brand this December so that’s also something that will take some time for me, as well as planning my up-coming Paris trip, which is actually something that I’m very excited about because I’m in need of a vacation! These past months have been intense and I can’t think of a better way to celebrate the end of 2016 in Paris.

A New Collaboration

This week has been very hectic for me. I’ve had a lot to do at school, so I haven’t been able to update the blog. On Friday I got an exciting phone from one of Norway’s largest PR/Marketing agencies. I’m going to be an ambassador for a Norwegian brand from December. I’m very excited about it and I can’t wait to share more details with you. The collaboration is an instagram-based collab so if you want to know who it is, you should follow me on Instagram.

I’m going to share more about the collaboration in December. This weekend is all about work for me. I’m making new content for the blog, and I’m also working with school, so I have a lot to do. And I hope everyone continues to vote for their favourite Femelle Blogger of 2016! The nomination poll is closing December 4th so you still have a lot of time.

Vote for me as “Blogger of the Year”

Hi! The polls are open and you can now nominate me as Femelle Blogger of the Year 2016, which I would appreciate massively. Click HERE to vote for me “nnennaechem“. The polls are open until December 4th and then five finalist will be revealed.

I’ve only been blogging for five months, but I’ve gotten great response I really enjoy it! I appreciate all the great comments I get. When I first started this I was quite overwhelmed with the amount of work you have as a blogger that you don’t realise until you’re actually in that position your self.

I hope everyone has an amazing Sunday evening!

Winter is coming

Oh my! It started to snow yesterday in Oslo. I wasn’t even prepared for it. I’ve kind of been in denial about the weather the past weeks. It’s been freezing cold outside, and everyone is starting to use their winter coats while I’m still wearing my autumn clothes. But as it started to snow yesterday I’m afraid I have to give into the pressure and listen to Mother Nature and start wearing my winter parkas.

At winter time I often get winter depression. It’s cold outside, it’s dark outside and everything feels ten times harder. Last year I solved my winter depression by going to the gym a lot, so I will definitely try it again this year. In Oslo, or in Norway in general the winter feels as it lasts for ages! Sometimes it even snows here in April!

Fortunetly I have several things to look forward to this winter. In December I’m off to Paris and in February I’m off to London. I’m actually very excited to go back to London this time. I haven’t been there since 2012, and I don’t know why, because I love that city!

What are your plans this winter? I hope everyone has an amazing weekend! XO
