Carolina Herrera ❥ Good Girl

Earlier on this week, I was invited to a lunch with Spalt PR and Carolina Herrera to launch the fragrance Good Girl. For those of you that are unfamiliar with Carolina Herrera, she is an American-Venezualian designer. She’s had huge success with her Good Girl fragrance overseas, especially in Spanish-speaking countries. The fragrance bottle is formed as a shoe, which immediately separates it from other fragrance bottles. Carolina Herrera is all about confidence and strength, which you will notice when you smell the Good Girl fragrance. It gives you a feeling of being a powerful woman.

Parfymen Good Girl har to sider. På den ene siden har vi ‘the good side’ hvor toppnoten er mandel, tuberose og jasmin, mens ‘the bad side’ har base av tonkabønner og kakao. Parfymen selges kun på Kicks i Norge!

The fragrance has two sides; the good side and the bad side. The top note in the fragrance is tuberose, jasmine and almond, and on the bad side we can smell tonka bean and cocoa.

Copenhagen Fashion Week SS18

For en vakker by!

I’m in Copenhagen in connection with Copenhagen Fashion Week. This is something I’ve looked forward to for a long time. Not only because of the shows, but because this is my first time in Copenhagen. I’m going to be in Copenhagen throughout the Fashion Week, which gives me plenty of time to explore the city. I’m going to several shows this week including the norwegian brand HolzweilerHan KjøbenhavnJulie Fagerholt/Heartmade, ANNE VEST and other exiting shows, as well as visiting showrooms. I really appreciate all the invitations that I have received. I love fashion and I’ve been so excited to travel to Copenhagen. There’s a lot of inspiration here! As previously mentioned, this is my first time in Copenhagen, which means that this is my first time at Copenhagen Fashion Week. There’s lot of international press as well as fashionistas. Copenhagen Fashion Week is supposedly the largest Fashion Week in the Northern countries!

My first impression of Copenhagen is so positive! What a beautiful city! I can’t understand how come I’ve never been here before. The city gives me positive vibes, and now that it’s fashion week, there is fashion in all corners of the city. I heard a rumour that Copenhagen is super windy, but we’ve been lucky with the weather so far. We’re staying in an apartment in Østerbro, which is a nice location in Copenhagen. The first stop of today is the showroom to the Danish brand, Gestuz, and later on we are going to the world renowned Hotel D’Angleterre to see the Anne Vest show. You can follow my fashion week journey on Instagram, where I update frequently.

Breakfast with E.L.F Cosmetics

On Tuesday morning I was at a launch with E.L.F Cosmetics. We got an introduction about their make up products and also a make up course. For those of you that are not familiar with E.L.F Cosmetics, E.L.F stands for Eyes, Lips and Face. E.L.F`s vision is to empower and educate women to play in innovation without sacrificing their budget. They offer a complete line of makeup and professional tools to a lower price. What I do love about E.L.F Cosmetics is that they have a variety of products for every skin colour, which is very positive! There are so many brands that doesn’t have any diversity in their selection, which I feel reflects the brand negatively.

#GIRLPOWER

Slagordet for denne konferansen var “Start the Change“.

// On Wednesday, which was the International Women’s Day, I was lucky enough to be invited to the She Conference 2017 with Idun Minerals Norway. For those of you who do not know what She Conference is it is a conference that is held once a year where several women speaks about their success in entrepreneurship and management. The motto of the conference was “Start the Change”. This night was incredibly inspiring with many great women that really motivated me. One of the women said that of every company that gets established, only 20% of those are being started by women. Not only that – of all senior managers in Norway, only 16% of them are women. There are of course several factors behind these figures, but it’s pretty clear to say that women are underrepresented in business on a high scale! Therefore, it was so inspiring to be at this conference to listen to women who are helping to make a change.

It is of course not easy to start a business, but it should not be, because if it was then everyone would do it. And being successful in life doesn’t mean that you have to have your own business! The important thing is that you are happy with what you do. That you’re in a place that allows you to grow, and bloom – allows you to become the best version of yourself. So that when you wake up everyday you can look forward to the challenges each day will bring – instead of dreading going to work. One of the speakers at the conference was the blogger Christine Otterstad. She said that she had not been happy with the person she was and decided to change. What she said is incredibly important “the bus always goes to the same time each day. Instead of always choosing to sit in the back, you should sit in the front.” Having a role model is so incredibly important – and not any role model, it should be someone you can look up to, someone who inspires you to be the best you can be. It is also important to have a good network with people that inspire you and cheer for you, and last but not least – people who believe in you.

Press Week SS17

What a hectic and fun week it has been. Besides school, my week has been consistent of press shows after press shows. On Monday the press week started at Polhem PR with a fashion show which you can read about here. On Wednesday I went to a total of three press shows; MILDH Press, Presskontakterna and Spalt PR.

JONATHAN ADLER SS17

We started at MILDH were they had their SS17 collection on display from their clients. My favourite pieces from this press show was interior from Jonathan Adler and  jewellery from Edblad LAB.

SUPERGA SS17

We went on to Pressekontakterna Oslo where they had newly refurnished their location. This was my first time at Pressekontakterna and their location is nicely decorated with beautiful furniture from Ellos HOME. I absolutely fell in love with the green marble table with the golden details!

The last place of the evening was Spalt PR! This was also my first time at their showroom and I loved it. The press week has been very fun and I can’t wait to find all of my favourite items in store.

MISSONI AND JONATHAN ADLER SS17

I hope everyone has an amazing weekend, and don’t forget to follow me on Instagram!

SS17 at Polhem PR

The Pressweek started this week, and I started my morning at Polhem PR to view their SS17. Usually when you go to a showcase or a press show the clothes are presented on racks, but this time the clothes were presented on models styled by Nathalie Helgerud, which was an inventive and fun way of showing the clothes. We were also served lovely breakfast from two chefs from Flying Culinary Circus. You will find some photos from the event below.

This week my calendar is completely full with school, work and press events. I think I’m at a stage in my life where I’m wondering how I will manage to have time for everything. I love working with the blog, and I love going to school, so I guess I’ll just have to make it work somehow. Besides, it get easier when I find some kind of system how to handle all of this at the same time.

Tomorrow is another day with Press shows, so if you want to see what and where I am tomorrow you can follow me on Instagram or on my Insta-stories!

Press Breakfast with Edblad

Good morning! I started my Friday at a press breakfast with Edblad and MILDH Press. Edblad is opening a new concept store in Oslo (Bogstadveien 50). Edblad is a Swedish brand that creates jewellery, home furnishing and clothing. Edblad has over 600 outlets in more than ten countries and are now opening in Oslo.

This week has been pretty hectic for me, as I’ve had a lot to do at school and there’s also been a lot besides school, like events and work. This weekend I’m working on both Saturday and Sunday, and I’m also doing some planning for the Berlin trip that is coming up next week (YAY!). I hope everyone has an amazing week.

Hugo Boss Grand Store Opening

Yesterday I was at an event hosted by Hugo Boss and Presskontakterna Oslo, celebrating their grand store opening at Karl Johans gate. There was finger food, drinks and champagne. The new store is gorgeous with women and mens clothing. The store has three floors, with the womens clothing, shoes and accessories located in lower level. You will also find mens tailoring and sportswear in the store.

The highlight of the evening was being sketched – which was really cool!
