Kale & Mango Summer Salad

Nam!

//I recently made a kale & mango salad that I wanted to share with you. The best thing about this salad is the taste and that it is suitable for vegetarians because there is no meat. I’ve used green kale, 1 avocado, 1 mango, 1/2 pomegranate, 30 grams of fresh feta cheese and black pepper. The recipe is very easy and it doesn’t take more than 7 minutes to make. Just mix all the ingredients together and voila, you’ve got a great salad. You can also add strawberries and a pinch of sea salt for that little extra. Bon appétit!

A Matcha latte In the Making

Jeg kjøpte mitt Matcha pulver i New York.

Deretter bruker du steameren slik at Matcha pulveret blir oppløst ordentlig i vannet. Voila!

// To make your own Matcha latte is one of the easiest things to do, and is also one of the best things you can give your body. Matcha is a Japanese tea and contains large amounts of antioxidants which is incredibly good for your body. Matcha helps to increase  your energy levels and it also helps to strengthen your immune system. I bought my Matcha powder in New York, where Matcha powder is sold everywhere, and it is as easy to get a cup of Matcha Latte everywhere, unlike Oslo. To this date I still don’t know of a cafe in Oslo that serves Matcha Latte, and we are in 2017! Therefore, it is so great that it’s easy to make yourself.

The only thing you need is Matcha powder, a steamer, boiled water and milk. Matcha powder is also incredibly durable in use. You don’t need more than one-two teaspoons before it becomes quite strong. I’ve had my Matcha powder for over a year.

To make a cup of Matcha latte you first have to take one-two teaspoons of Matcha powder in the cup or in another pot. I usually use another pot because when using the steamer you may spill. After that, pour in some hot water (2-3 dl). Then use the steamer so that the Matcha powder is dissolved properly in water. When you see that the powder has been dissolved properly then you can add milk. I tend not to use more than 0.5 dl milk. After adding the milk you should use steamer again so that the milk is properly mixed in. Voila!

Stir it nicely in with the porridge.

Study Days

Good morning! I started my MSc this week. I had my first class yesterday and I have two study days, which means I’m able to study at home, before my next classes starts again on Thursday. I have a lot to read in every class! I’m going to use my two days to try to get ahead in some of my classes, but it’s easier said than done. I took the opportunity of a my study days to whip up a good breakfast – IN BED! I love mornings like these!

By the way, I’m headed to BARCELONA this week so if anyone has any recommendations, I would love to read them. I’ve been to Barcelona before, but I want to discover new places. Give me your best restaurant recommendations, shopping areas (I love Passeig de Gracia, but I don’t know If my wallet likes it as much), parks, museums, etc! I hope everyone has an amazing Tuesday.

My Smoothie Bowl

The summer has been filled with bad eating habits, way too much wine and not enough work outs. The summer is now coming to an end and so is my laziness (I hope). I started my morning with a smoothie bowl and it was so good! I thought I would share the recipe with you guys too. I hope I can get back to my work out rhythm and start focusing again! But all in all, I had a wonderful summer!

Kolonihagen

Good morning! Yesterday I took one of my closest friend to a restaurant in Oslo called “Kolonihagen“. Kolonihagen is a restaurant that serves all organic food. She had never been there before so I decided that it was the perfect place to go on a summers day. This is definitely one of Oslo’s cosiest restaurants. Has anyone else been here before?
