La Boqueria Mercat

Hi! Today we’ve been shopping and walking around the city. We stopped by the BOQUERIA MERCAT near La Rambla, because we’ve never been there. We ended up buying one of the juices that they sell, but I was so disappointed; the juice was warm and the flavour wasn’t what I expected it to be. I ended up buying a macaron and some ice cream, wish I was very happy with. If you’re going to Barcelona and haven’t been to the food market before, I would really recommend it, but it’s very crowded.

We walked down Passeig de Gracia, which is my favourite street in Barcelona. It isn’t as crowded as La Rambla, and the stores are better (or it depends on what you’re looking for). We really noticed the difference between Sunday’s and Monday’s in this city. Yesterday there were almost no one here, but today it was crowded everywhere.

Now we’re at the hotel again trying to figure out where we’re going to eat tonight! The choices are many!

The Juicery

The Juicery is a small hidden gem in Oslo, located at Frogner, where you can buy Acai bowls, Smoothies, juices etc. This place actually reminds me of DALUMA in Berlin! Has anyone been there before?

We ordered the Green Acai Bowl and it was the best Acai bowl I’ve ever had!

I think that the Juicery is a place that Oslo has been missing for so long. I love the organic and fresh concept. You can see that the place is very popular. By the time we got there, the line was out of the door. And the location is pretty small so I would recommend that you take it to-go if you’re not lucky enough to get a seat. The Juicery is definitely a new favourite of mine, and I would recommend a visit to anyone and everyone.

Jarga launch brunch

On Monday I went to an event hosted by Jarga Art and Fashion Week at the Thief Hotel in Oslo. Jarga Designs is a Norwegian clothing line by Jankeh Lion Njie inspired by her African roots. Jarga Designs started in 2013 and has been growing ever since. The event I went to on Monday was a launch event for the Jarga Art and Fashion Week that´s taking place in Oslo September 2nd and 3rd. You can buy tickets to the event here and get more information about the Fashion Week!

If you want more information about Jarga Designs, you can visit their Facebook page or the Jarga website.

A short get-away

This week isn’t off to a bad start. I’m starting the week with a three day get-way to Quality Hotel in Sarpsborg with my sister and her two kids. I rarely go on domestic vacations. I have actually never been on a domestic vacation, which is pretty weird considering that Norway is a beautiful country. But as soon as I’m able to travel I often book a ticket for a warmer place.

I’m pretty excited about this get-away as I’ve been working a lot ever since I got back from the South of France. While being here I’m thinking of visiting other places in Norway the next time I’m able to go on a short vacation. I would be happy to get some recommendations.
